Our student-led platform provides aspiring doctors with the opportunity to publish original research and share ideas on healthcare and medical ethics. We believe writing and research are essential for developing the curiosity and critical thinking that define future medical professionals. Compiled by students, for students, our journal empowers the next generation of medical thinkers to contribute meaningfully to the global conversation on health and science.

The student founder
Kian Kosta
Student founder of the Aspiring Medics International journal
I’m Kian Costa, a Year 12 student from Dubai, driven by a deep love for medicine and a passion for writing. I’ve always been fascinated by healthcare, but what truly inspires me is the chance to create a space where students like us can share our ideas, dreams, and discoveries. Working with the original team behind The Aspiring Doctors Digest showed me the incredible potential of connecting young minds, and it sparked a vision bigger than myself.
That vision became The Aspiring Medics International Journal—a platform to unite students across the world, to support and inspire future doctors and scientists, and to build a community where secondary school students can exchange ideas, challenge themselves, and grow together in their passion for healthcare and science. This is more than a journal to me; it’s a place where curiosity, ambition, and the love of learning can thrive.
